More than likely Murano- would like opinions
« on: October 11, 2012, 03:39:30 AM »
;D am I on a roll or what- picked up this rather nice candle holder today in my wanderings and am hoping a glass maven could point me in the right direction attribution-wise. Lovely clear glass with a lot of gold coloured aventurine and edged with lattimo glass on the bowl edge and the candle holder rim. Bowl is shaped like a leaf with a scrolled end and deep molding-cut edges- with a ribbed tubular  holder with lattimo riggaree. The underside is smooth with a cut and polished base. Length is 16cm, width 8.5cm and height of 5cm.
Any and all comments welcome.
regards Carol

I would agree to murano but can not narrow that down any.

Had to look up the word maven - it is completely new to me. ;D

Google translate does not know the word maven, so I'm still in the dark. And as for the item at issue, that is a lovely piece with oodles of gold foil, not aventurine.  I am thinking B&T or Seguso - but could be A.V.E.M.
