Is my cranberry glass Bohemian or English please?
« on: October 11, 2012, 09:41:04 AM »
Hi
this cranberry vase stands nearly 10" tall. To me, it's applied feet are similar to Bohemian glass that I've occasionally seen on Ebay, but it also reminds me of certain types of Victorian English glass that the owners have described as Stourbridge, Webb, Stuart or Stevens and Williams. Does anyone know anything about this glass please?
Thanks :D

this exact vase isn't shown but there are many that are identical in spirit on page 313 of Charles hadjamach's book. It's a catalog page from Smart brothers Round oak glass works Brierley hill late 19th century. all of the vases in this catalog page are cranberry. they all have a ton of crystal rigaree used in novel ways.
