I'm currently living in Santa Barbara, California and am in need of a referral to a competent individual who might be able to polish several scratched paperweights for me.  Does anyone out have any recommendations in the US ?

Would suggest that you contact Larry Selman http://www.theglassgallery.com/ who is one of the bigger dealers, and who is based just up the coast from you in Santa Cruz. It would be a surprise if he did not have a name for you.
