Paul Ysart for sale
« on: October 20, 2012, 01:03:42 PM »
Hi there

Was left this weight by my granny and really don't know much about era etc.

I am looking to sell it on Ebay and was hoping someone could enlighten me to how much I could expect to get for it and ny other info about it.  It has the PY cane embedded in the bottom.

Thanks so much x

Hi there,

Nice Ysart butterfly. It looks to me that it was made during his Harland period. More often than not the weights of this period are signed with an H cane. It is nice to have the PY cane though. We do not normally give valuation on the board, and I am not sure that I am knowlegeable enough to attempt one. May be someone else can give you some indication.

Thank you so much Sophie B for getting back to me!  It really is beautiful and if I sell it on Ebay I want to put a reserve as I don't want it going for less than it should for my Granny's sake:)

Is this the same one?
Sorry I can't help at all and I don't know how the market has changed since last year but you may want to check ebay to see.
