Not sure what the "not Czech" attribution is based upon.

Because Jindrich said so ;) >> Link

Colours are not right for Sklo Union either.
I have never seen one here in Central Europe (and I can't remember if I ever saw one on German ebay).

But my statement that they seem to appear almost exclusively in GB may not be correct.

I think the colour is OK for Sklo Union.  I've had a couple of post-war Czech pressed pieces which were in this shade of green.

I've seen a few of these vases here in Poland.  My feeling is that they might be 60s or 70s Polish, but I haven't any proof.

One day, the answer will surely appear. :)

Thanks for the info, Anik.
Polish sounds like a reasonable possibility...

When I mentioned the colours I was refering to this collection, which doesn't give me the right feeling for Sklo Union colours (especially that bluish purple) >> http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,40554.msg224547.html#msg224547

Mine is the ink blue colour - I think it is the same  :-\ it might be a little bit lighter/not so intense. If it is I would describe it is bright ink blue rather than  blueish-purpleish, but I don't think I've come across another piece of Czech pressed glass in that colour - on the other hand isn't there an Adolf Matura ashtray in that bright blue thinking about it?  or might it be Jablonecke? I might have another look around to see if I can find a match to that colour.

Thanks to everyone for searching out all the past links to queries on this little vase shape.  The mystery deepens . . .  How come there are so many around, and so many wise heads have researched them, but still no positive id? I love fattystratty1's collection of different colours.  Now I have another reason to attend car boot sales, maybe I'll find another one some day!   I'm also intrigued by the process of manufacture; given the slight lop-sidedness of the side extensions, were these made individually, i.e. blown, or moulded?  This puzzle seems to have been going on for years, but I hope it will soon be solved!
Thanks again,
Valerie

They are factory pressed. What is the base like?

Not sure these are pressed, the interior walls bulge inwards towards the bottom on mine - not a plunger kind of shape.

I've tried to photograph the base, but it's not easy!  The base rim is polished (and chipped), and curves gently to a flat inner base.  Like Glassobsessed mine has a curved inner surface which would make it difficult to use a plunger, since it goes in, bulges out towards the top of the "ears", then in again and finally out a bit at the bottom!  (I think the photo I first posted shows the inner shape.)  Such a little thing to provoke all this discussion, thank you all for your time!

In that case they are factory mould blown but that ground base puts them at pre full mechanisation, so no newer than perhaps early 1960s. Perhaps Jablonec; they made a lot of these small things.
