Selkirk 1990 paperweight
« on: October 29, 2012, 09:25:58 PM »
Picked up a pair of Selkirk weights cannot find examples of either?
Nothing in common one was is signed 1990 and the other 2000 except both have personal Anniversary messages to the same couple in the same 'hand' has the Selkirk script. No pattern name or edition number on either. Maybe commission weights anyone recognise either.
Thanks Chris.
The first one 3.5"

Sorry - similar comment as for your weight of 2000: many abstract weights are not easily identified if only a single view is at hand (catalogue) for comparison - but I find nothing for 1985-1990 where I would say "this is it!". I would assume these weights were made with the customer on site, "free hand" with some standard design in mind, not not actually making that design.
