Blue (Déco?) Bird - no marks
« on: November 15, 2012, 10:48:26 PM »
Please, can anybody help me identify this blue (Déco?) 6"x13" bird? I bought it in Brazil in a flea market, but it doesn't look like Brazilian production. Thank you

Well that Chinese Pheasant flew a long way from Paden City West Virginia. Paden City Glass, Paden City WV, circa 1940 & your dark blue one is the most desirable color...also made in light pale blue & crystal. I sold its twin 6 months ago. Very good find.  Ken

Ken, thank you VERY much. It's been a long time since I started looking for it on the internet, but I didn't figure out what kind of bird it is. I paid about USD 35 on it. Can you tell me how much did you sell yours?

No I don't mind...$95 USD & that was to another dealer as a favor as he resold it two weeks later for $145 USD which is about what they realistically run when found in that dark blue. Your 35 USD was a very good buy. Ken
