Amethyst cut to clear large vase with 2 fish
« on: November 17, 2012, 05:47:44 PM »
Large amethyst cut to clear vase, looks hand cut to me decorated with two fish one being a sailfish. The fish and bubbles have a mat finish while the seaweed cuts between the fish are glossy.

The vase stands 10.5" / 26.5cm and weighs a heavy 3.2kg.

The base is fairly flat with a lot of ware to the rim of the base, the vase is not signed or marked.
My first thoughts were British or Bohemian.

Thanks for any help on an ID for this vase.

Roy
