I really have no idea but as a guess maybe Saint-Louis?
They used a limey green and this vase appears to have similar background half moon swirls.

Aw, sorry Terri, completely forgot about it... :pb:
Interesting how they reacted at VSL. There are simply features about your goblet which match
techniques used by their glassworks. Did you try to follow the Baccarat route?

M., well spotted, the etched structure´s a good match also. You´re a star - just in case you didn´t know...  8)

Terri, something occurred to me, I don't know if Saint-Louis is right but perhaps a possible along with VSL or Baccarat...however I do know that the acid etched mark Saint-Louis put on the base of some glasses I have is incredibly faint, almost non existant on a couple.  It might be worth getting out the magnifying glass and taking it into strong daylight and examining the base to see if you can spot a faint circular mark.  I've no idea if they would have marked these cameo pieces, mine are a different design and a different era I think.  But you may spot something.

bit confusing now
This one has the same half moon background and is being sold as Baccarat with a link reference from a book.  As far as I can tell (difficult to see clearly though), the pattern on the background of the one in the book is not the same and neither is the pattern that has been cut onto the ground, so I wondered whether it was Baccarat?

Searching further I found these two gilded goblets being sold as identified Saint-Louis (although I can't find a reference for them and can't see one in the listing) - the stems look remarkably similar to the one I've linked to above.  Therefore I'm wondering if the goblet linked above actually is Saint-Louis? - and it has the same background as the OP's goblet/wine glass

The latter ´St. Louis´ might perhaps be Villeroy & Boch. Olaf looks quite similar and they did some of there glasses with gilding:

I can see the similarities in the stem Dirk.  Are there differences are the foot? does it look smaller or is it an illusion maybe  ???     and the way the merese is under the bowl is different.  However I've no idea whether these are significant differences to be honest.  I was trying to link the gilded 'Saint-Louis' with the cameo one, but it's tenuous I agree  :)
I have found a marked Saint-Louis biscuit barrel with what seems to be the same etched background though -

I suppose what we need to know is, is this particular half moon etched background specific to Saint-Louis production only.  I've not found a single other Baccarat or VSL piece with that background but that 's not conclusive really...just a possible.

The one on the right here seems to have a similar stem and foot to the two I linked to - does it help clarify the maker at all?

Agree - we need to know how exclusively the acid pattern were used, but I´ve got no idea
how so far (without buying and reading a meter of books).  ;D

I think the right glass in the last link is a V&B gilded Olaf. The angle at which the picture
was taken may make the vessel look different. Anyone let her know?

oops yes, when you enlarge her pics you can see it's different to the gilded 'Saint-Louis' at the merese (although caveat being that might not be a signficant difference) and is in fact the same as the one you linked to.
Helpful for her...not for us  ;D

this piece seems to have a similar background.  It is attributed to Val St Lambert but the metalwork says 'Made in France' although the metalwork may not have any link to the glass unfortunately.
Just wondered if anyone recognised the perfume as being from a particular maker which may help pin down the goblet.
