Triangular Orange and White Bullicante Bowl - Signed or faulty?
« on: November 20, 2012, 07:53:25 PM »
This (to me anyway) is an impressive lump of glass weighing 1.35kg and measuring 6 3/4ins wide and 2 3/4ins high. The bubbles are very precise. The inside of the cased bowl is orange with that then cased in white which is cased in clear glass (if I've got the terminology right). The bubbles are only in the outside clear glass. Thing is - there is what is either a signature or a brown streaky fault on the underside that appears to be within the clear glass but can't be felt as anything than other as integral to it. The polished base has irregular scratches consistent with this having been around for a while. Any help with identification would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Alastair

The streak is just a bit of stray coloured glass; a flaw but not enough to be considered a second when it was made. It's Murano and probably one of good makers

Barbini is a strong contender.

Thanks very much for that and now I can rest my eyes from trying to decipher that squiggle.
