J le G and MS - french studio glass?
« on: December 16, 2012, 11:27:53 AM »
Here is a little plate diameter 25 = 10" with soft cloudy enamels rolled in - from some angles it looks opal, from other light blue. The pontil mark is snapped off and unfinished - they used a four prong pontil rod.
It is neatly signed J le G  & MS - am I right in assuming this must be from one of the smaller studios around Biot? None with such a sig can be found in Le Guide des Verriers. Or am I woofing up the wrong arbre?
