Not what I'm used to from Mike Hunter - but it doesn't surprise me - he's a man of never-ending talent and is adept at so many complex styles of glassmaking. It's a simple design, but so beautifully executed - far more difficult than it looks, with that applied rim.
He did tell use at the Edinburgh conference that he'd applied for a job as hobbit-glassmaker in the "Lord of the Rings" films - he said he had the hairy toes to qualify!
