Footed bowl/tazza
« on: January 13, 2014, 02:18:18 PM »
I recently bought this bowl/tazza. It was sold as dating from 1800 and probably French.

The bowl has a beautiful ring when tapped. There are plenty of striations from being handmade, the base is quite flat but has a broken off pontil mark. The bowl has a diameter of 19.5cm and a height of 8.5cm.

Your thoughts on its origin and date would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
