The glass is very milky coloured what type of glass is this? any ideas on the maker or origin? or if it has a particular style or name. No idea on the age or history but all links and info would be great.

As Keith says Kralik and Harlequin Opalescent is the name used by collectors: http://www.kralik-glass.com/kralikharlequinopalarray.html

A simple and yet effective and pleasing decor, somehow more than the sum of it's parts. I have only seen it on relatively small items, a couple of examples follow - the second has it combined with a bit of the Wave pattern.
