I'm no expert on vases,  it does bear a good resemblance to this labelled one though:

At first I was convinced it was Czech!

They both look very much like Czech to me, ZBS in particular.  This topic came up before and Glassobsessed (John) provided this link to a Johansson penguin vase (you have to scroll down a bit to find it). http://www.styleforum.net/t/26398/the-vase-thread

Even if it's not Czech these pieces are nothing like anything Johnansson ever did for Hadeland.

Neither this or the Ebay one are Hadeland Pingvin (I have a sneaky suspicion the label on the Ebay one has been 'borrowed')
here is a Hadeland example: http://www.utopiaretromodern.com/public/products/442008willyjohanssonpingvin.jpg

Ooooh, kisslikeether,  now that is lovely....please don't start me collecting vases!!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all glass was marked by the maker or the makers glass house  and labels not used?
I have always said that labels can so easily be transferred and I have just seen the cheapest piece of glass with a Langham Glass House Label on it.  I know it isn't Langham but the seller is adamant.....grrrr!

So do we think that Alton11's is Czech David?
It is a lovely vase and my first thoughts were that, but the eBay one so easily threw me off the trail and convinced me otherwise.
I am starting to take more interest in czech glass, so it would be good to know for certain.

Rosie.  :)

Yes Rosie Label 'borrowers' are certainly a curse! Having said that I have come across an item clearly labelled as Studio Glas Strömbergshyttan but the seller was adamant it was Strömbergshyttan sometimes people just see what they want to see.
I've seen the identical shape as the Ebay one described as Murano I don't know if this is correct as it's not my area of interest.

So does that mean that Studio Glas Strömbergshyttan is not the same as Strömbergshyttan?  I would have believed the seller!!  :o
