Holmegaard Selandia Dish?
« on: December 17, 2012, 10:47:14 AM »

Hi all, help needed once more!

This amber glass dish I think may be a Holmegaard Selandia dish by Per Lutken. It is unfortunately unsigned,

Measurements are approx 265mm long, 195mm across, 95mm tall,

It has the 'fried egg' feature in the centre of the bowl, ground flat base with a ground out pontil, the glass thickens out to the lip,

I have found many items that strengthen my thoughts on this, many are to me identical, especially the ones on Etsy although I cannot be 100% confident of their knowledge?

Many thanks Michael,

Why do they have to copy everything rather than plagiarise??

I don't imagine a true Per Lutken piece would have so many swirls in the glass - it would be optically superior to this, and (I'm talking off the top of my head here) I don't imagine a Per Lutken piece would have sucha scrappy pontil mark either.
However, it's a lovely colour - an attractive thing.
