Hi everyone, I recently bought this vase or centerpiece and I have no idea about the origin or maker.
It is 28 cms high.
I would greatly appreciate if you help me to identify this piece.
Thanks.
Hugo

I'm sure I've seen this identified recently - it was Czech, either Inwald or Libochovice...

I'll have a look through my reference materials this weekend and see if I can dig it out again

Hello, thanks for your help, I know about the Inwald's mermaid bowl or plate, in fact I have it, take a look at:
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,47895.msg269663.html#msg269663

But I think there is no Inwald's mermaid Vase, and the mermaid pattern of the vase is different.
Thanks again.
Best
Hugo

Just trying to help jog memories or something, but Nigel posted a clock recently that has mermaids on -
here - I can't tell if it's similar or not as the pic is too small.  He discussed it possibly being by S Reich.

I hope this is helpful rather than a not needed distraction :)

Probably a stupid question but how is the blue colour done on the vase.  Is it enamels done after it was blown or is the glass actually blue.
