Crystal Cut Handle Salad Fork

Hi, Cany anyone identify the maker and period of this Salad Fork.   There are no markings other than on the metal area, which does not help.  The overall length is including metal area is 7.7cm.  The handle lengh is 9.3cm.   I would have assumed that this item would of come as a set, but not having much luck in finding one similar.  Any help appreciated!

Can't offer anything specific, other than saying that Eric Reynolds shows a cut glass salad bowl with matching servers (fork and spoon with similar arrangement of glass/metal) - although a completely different pattern/design - which was first registered in February 1884.
For how long the Walsh ones were offered I'v no idea, but taking a slightly educated guess I'd suggest this one could be anywhere from the late 1880's up to the 1920's.          I've a feeling - from what I've seen - that later ones were all glass.

Hi, Firstly I would like to say thank  you for you info.  This has helped me eliminate areas of my research.   Even though the pattern is entirely different, I suppose does not rule out as being Davidson.  I also looked at Mappin & Webb as another area.   Here is one I  managed to find on Ebay without the glass handle but the metal part looks similar which is probably not of much help:  :(

J D Bergen was another area again that I looked at but unable to find any pictures that would help support my purpose in identification.  There does not seem to be a lot of retrievable information on salad glass/metal forks.

It's not Davidson because it's cut not pressed. Any cold work Davidson did was a little simple engraving.

Even if the metal work and finished item was Mappin and Webb, they would have had the glass made by somebody else on commission

I had a set where the silver plate was made by Barker Brothers, never found out who made the glass handles.

my apologies Otis  -  I should have known better than to confuse a pressed glass factory with cut glass items. :-[

No worries Paul S.  Very grateful for your support.  Christine is right,  I should of known that too, that is from previous discussions.  Davidson has now been eliminated from my line of enquiries  :).  Barker Bros?   I will research this, as I have not heard of them before.   Thanks to you all.   Appreciated!
