Very large dump weight Could it be a Whitefriars one?

Bought not long ago, and was told this was bought from Whitefriars, I also bought some other items which are cataloged. The colour of the spiral is brown/Green. the pontil is polished out the outer edge I think was polished but is now covered in scratches

It is tricky to get the pictures right here. I use irfanview which I resize to 640 x 480 and save at 75% quality.

Story I was told at the auction is that they used it at the glassworks for keeping a door open. Could be but hard to prove or disprove.

The coloured streaks inside look like those in a streaky but spun into a close packed circle if that makes sense.

Just on the technical side, Cazza: these images should upload to the board without any problem - ca 20...25 kB each - whilst the board's limit is 125 kB.

You're over resizing. Just save at 640 by 480. Don't save at 75% once you've resized and you should be OK.

Hi Cazza there were some one offs like the one i found for Patrick - The Eye - by Harry Dyer but the wear on the base of yours says to me its a lot older ,  i know big Ron Wilkie made some in the lunch breaks as i am sure others did , one of the boys from W/Fs could tell you more but they would have to handle it ,  sorry thats all i can add for now . jp
