Please help me ID the manufacturer of this vase from the 1940's it's either from the USA or St. John Newfoundland Canada.

Welcome to the board. I've removed your email address from your post, to prevent it being harvested by spammers. The board protects email addresses by default, whilst allowing users to contact each other by internal email, so it's not necessary to post an address publicly. But we do prefer that ID's are responded to on the board, as that way all members can benefit from the shared knowledge, and it keeps a permanent record here for future researchers.
