Penguin Paperweight ID = Caithness Glass, Krystal - Penguin
« on: January 10, 2013, 02:40:26 PM »
Hi all, picked this up today. Has similar pattern (white) to Caithness but it seems to be on the outside of the back of the weight. The back has a textured feel to the back The base is highly polished. It has 46/500 so a limited edition. The penguin has a look of the Mats Jonasson style weights. Dont think its Jonasson but has a Scandinavian feel. Any thoughts ???
Pete. :-)

My money would be on Caithness. :)
I'm pretty sure they did do a small range of "pictorial weights" this sort of shape and style.

I obviously didnt look hard enough !  It is on there then saw your link Chris, thanks.  I couldn't get the white addition on the back feeling rough. Made in 1985 and limited edition.  No signature on it just the numbers. Thanks.
Pete. :-)
