Hi, thanks, but doubtful it would have ever had a lid, no nibbles around top rim, as it would have been a heavy lid about 1kg, rim is flat 7mm thick & it was sold to me as a bowl.

Hi, thanks for looking, good advise, yes, I agree listing on ebay after asking is very wise, but I only found & joined this site yesterday, 4 days after I'd listed it on ebay.

A polished rim like that would be very vulnerable to damage so even if the shape suggests it did, I doubt if it ever had a lid.
