A vase with pinched sides, covered 50/50 in dense dark brown and light green powder decoration, shot throughout with small bubbles and a very fine aventurine. 21cm tall.
It's signed to the base 'Barovier & Toso - Murano - Prova d'autore - 1987' - so presumably a prototype or artist's proof (like print-based artworks marked 'E.A.' for 'Épreuve d'artiste').
I've not been able to find out if it was put into production, or who designed it (although it has a passing resemblance to Toni Zuccheri's designs from the same period).
Any help gratefully received.
