[Oxbridge Fairs]

Well, here we are again in the weeks leading up to the next Cambridge Glass Fair which will be held at Linton Village College on 24th February.

Once more we have some good things in store with two exhibitions planned to whet your appetite!

Maurice and Pauline Wimpory of the Glass Association are going to loan the pieces for the foyer exhibition which will concentrate on two little-known British factories, Harbridge Crystal and Watford Glass.

Whitefriars.com members will be bringing together a display of Full Lead Crystal 1978-80. This exhibition will again be located in the Old Hall foyer.

The weather should have improved by then but, in the meantime, we hope the anticipation gives you a warm glow and we look forward to seeing you there.

[Oxbridge Fairs]

A quick update on the fair: the exhibitor list and floorplans have now been updated and we also are pleased to be able to tell you that in addition to the Atrium cafe there will be another restaurant area which will be selling hot food such as soup, jacket potatoes, bacon rolls, lasagne etc.
This will be located off the Old Hall foyer near the Whitefriars.com exhibition.

As well as the array of antique and collectable vintage glass on display, many contemporary artists stand at our events and this time these include Vic Bamforth, Allister Malcolm, Sandra Callowhill and Rowan van der Holt plus some new faces, such as engraver Justin Lawson and Sophie Sheehan, Jenny Sharp and Rebecca Mansbridge.

Ann Benwell will again be offering her stained glass-making demonstrations in the Library area.
Primavera gallery are going to be bringing along some Amanda Brisbane and Peter Layton pieces. They will be found in the West Atrium.
Adam Aaronson and Jonathan Harris will be in the Staff Room area which is opposite the Library and Georgian Glassmakers will be located in the East Atrium.

Andy McConnell will also be in attendance and we hope you will, too.
