Unusual PY fake
« on: January 24, 2013, 06:16:00 PM »
Hi everybody,

There is an interesting PY fake on sale on Ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300851482328?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I had already warned the seller that it was a fake and the auction has now been cancelled (with a nice message from the seller).

However, I thought that I should post this item on the GMB as it is (IMHO) a particularly 'good' weight. Also, I have never seen a star pattern millefiori fake before. Is it as unusual as I believe?

Wow that is very garish.

Mod: Two topics on the same weight now merged

I had advised the seller of its status as had Sophie (see above) and maybe other folk had too.
The listing has been ended.

The colours in the photos are probably over-enhanced.

I do not think it is out of a new batch.

I have an example of one and I suspect there could be several around but perhaps not as many as other patterns.
