Topic: Victorian hand painted milk glass...Bristol?

My wife called it Bristol but I don't know.  The rim is rather rough.  Could it have had an applied rim ring of some kind?   The base is molded, not ground, no marking in the glass or the decoration.   Anyway, any info on age and where it came from is appreciated.  Thanks,

ps, it's 8" tall and a bit over 3" across the bottom.

I won't offer an opinion on the term "Bristol" because more than a few board participants will probably enlighten you regarding the term. As for manufacture or origin it could be either U.S. or European. Westmoreland & Fostoria made this type of MG based vases from 1900 to approx 1915, many has scenic or character decals & many were enameled with floral themes. These were made by both manufacturers in various shapes & sizes. Probably doesn't help much though. Ken

Thank you Ken.  Have at least figured out which side of the pond it belongs to.   It's US in origin.  Looking around the web a bit now I've seen the same vase with different decoration, most state early Fostoria, a couple stated Westmoreland and a few more stated 'Westmoreland Fostoria', arrgh  .   Anyway, based on other Westmoreland and Fostoria glass I've handled I believe it to be Fostoria at this point.   I'll have my wife double check her books.   Thanks Again.  -Buck
