Stumbled across this piece recently, which was intriguing as it is produced from neodymium glass. It appears to have be made in 3 parts, foot, twisted stem and bowl. Has some wear to the base, although not a massive amount. Has a little bit of an Italian/Venetian feel.
I was a little confused as to its main function, the top bowl seemed to small to be a tazza but to big to be a comport base, coupled with the fact the top rim is rounded where it has been fire polished. I suppose it could just be a centrepiece or trinket bowl, however, would welcome further thoughts......
Measures 9.5 inches tall with a rim diameter of 4.5 inches, approx weight 600 grams.
Thanks
