I tend to fall in and out of love with celery's depending on my mood  ;D

I love the sweep of this monster it reminds me of mallet or bell decanters. Of note are the thick ribs with cut notches to the bottom, middle and top.

It has a ground pontil, is 27cm tall, 17.5cm across the rim.

any ideas?

cheers
Mel

I think the design is too generic to assign to a maker. The Molineaux Webb pattern book has half a dozen celeries in that general shape and they all date to pre-1860. It's not an exact match to any of them but it is very close.
