Venetian Glass Company
« on: February 02, 2013, 01:46:38 PM »
Just bought - a tall and heavy comic Rabbit label says Venetian Glass Company. Traditional Hand Made Murano Glass, can't read top line.

After a search on the board I see it may be by Toffolo, it looks like his label - also could be when he was based in UK. Date 1980s?

Any help appreciated

Yes, it is Franco Toffolo's label from his "Venetian Glass Company" in Blackpool, England.

Date ... circa 1960s - 1980 (as per Ysartglass web page)

Interesting couple of comments in a BBC web page about an interview with John Ditchfield.

Moved into the British & Irish Glass forum as it is not glass made in Murano but is made in England in the Murano style.
