ID help on large paperweight, is it old?
« on: February 05, 2013, 10:42:45 PM »
Hi all,
I'm posting this weight on behalf of a friend. He was given the weight and asked me if I had any idea if the weight was old or not. Knowing nothing much about paperweights I thought I would ask all you experts to pass your eye over it. It is a greeny colour with flowers inside, it has a broken off pontil mark which has been roughly polished flat. It is roughly 4.5" tall. It reminds me of the old green dumps that I have seen here before ( but never handled or seen in the flesh ) Lots of bits within the glass!
Cheers in advance,
David

Hi David,

This is indeed a green dump.

However, I am not sure how old it is...
