Forgive me, but I am skeptical as to a Pairpoint attribution & frankly I do not trust either Kovels or an auction company as a source for such an attribution. I've seen this nonsense all too often when it comes to Pairpoint shades of all types. Fortunately there is a way to prove this & it would be in your best interest to do so. Pairpoint started as a silver manufacturing company in 1880 & in 1894 they aquired the Mt. Washington Glass Company (both companies were located in New Bedford). Now since its beginning Pairpoint marked all their metal production, there are no exceptions & don't let anyone tell you there are, & this continued when they merged with Mt. Washington. Note you have metal collars on your shades which in all probability were plated but may now be down to their copper base metal...look for any marking such as a P within a diamond no matter how small on the metal collars or the word Pairpoint MFG Co.(although I think the P within a diamond is far more likely) & if its there congratulations. If its not then its not Pairpoint...period & any knowledgable Pairpoint collector would tell you the same.
