Topic: Caithness Decanter in Peat

Here is a charity shop buy. Caithness decanter in peat by Colin Terris c1970. I have come across this a few times, its rarer to find than Morven. It sells well, I sold one on eBay recently for £20.00 and that was damaged.

Scarcer than Canisbay too, according to my experience. I bought the only one I have seen.

How very irritating. Finding a stopper won't be that easy. It's a similar shape to the Canisbay one but a different size - it's bigger and both the stopper and inside the neck are ground. I think the stoppers for both might come in different designs, though. In this decanter, the top of the stopper is flat - but I've just checked and compared - and discovered that my two Canisbay decanters have different stoppers - one with a flat polished top, the other still round.
