Hello Roy         Wondered if you knew what intended use this piece had  -  bearing in mind the three rim indents - not that this will help with a maker, I don't think - or perhaps they were just ornamental.
Alum Bay did very briefly cross my mind  -  I know they did some iridescent, and I have a piece with smooth trailing that continues under the base.        Not sure that this sort of shape was ever one of theirs however.

Usually with these indents they are glass rinsers. It saves a glass when switching from red to white to port etc. Normally found in clear. I've only ever come across them in Irish glass.

Now why didn't I think of that............Ivo's comment about the rinser use is logical, and the size is about right..........I have a few dating from early C19 to mid C20, but to the best of my knowledge I've never seen a rinser with three lip indents.
I'm unclear Ivo.......are you saying you've only ever seen clear rinsers.........they do come in a variety of colours of course......and made by many factories, including Irish.
Or, are you suggesting that it's only the Irish who make three lipped rinsers. ;D

Never come across them in other than clear glass (including green, pink etc) - in any case not in Bohemian style art glass. And I've only ever seen them in Ireland - I think on the continent we prefer to change the glass when changing the wine. And in England, of course, it is the butler who does it so I wouldn't know about that.

I thought this looked slightly familiar, I posted a piece a while back, which although there was no definitive conclusion, the consensus was that it was likely to have been Lafiore Glass.

Here are a few pics there do appear to be many similarities:

Greg.......that does look a very good match for the trailing.

........and just to show that rinsers also exist in Lustrousstone's favourite colour ;)          This one could be as early as 1850 in a sort of chrysoprase.
