Please put feedback about errors here on the Message Board so I can correct them.
Very nice book - but you asked for corrections :).

You mention Lauscha Technical College and give "Hochfachschule fur Glaskunst" as German name: "Hochfachschule" don't exist! Also note the missing umlaut in "für". The problem is that the name has changed over time. I believe it was founded as "Zeichen- und Modellierschule", later renamed "Gewerbefachschule für Kunstglasbläserei" and is now called "Berufsfachschule Glas". Quite possible that other names were used at other times. "Hochfachschule" turns up a second time further down the page.

Again the umlaut: "Wiener Werkstatte" should read "Wiener Werkstätte".

Not sure about the last comment: at the end you thank several people - most of the names I am familiar with, but not Alistair McIntyre. The name jumped at me anyway, as recently a couple of paperweights offered on ebay were identified as Alistair McIntyre's work - but were made in fact by Alastair MacIntosh.

Hi,
Thank you so much for correcting the German. I think it will be safer if I just call it Lauscha Technical College, would that be OK do you think?
I am not sure how to do an umlaut in HTML, but I'll try and work it out.
Alistair McIntyre is a friend who sent me some photographs some years ago. Nothing to do with paperweights so far as I know.

All the best
Angela

Fine with me - I just feel, as long as you quote German, it should be correct :). To have the (a) German name, however, might help if a reader wants to google it.

To the techies in the crowd, are there any apps for the Kobo, as opposed to the Kindle? I have a kobo and would love to look at the pretty pictures. If not, don't worry, I'll just download it onto my computer.

Many thanks for the help, Wuff. I think I have it sorted now.
And Carolyn, I'm very new to publishing with Amazon Kindle, and at the moment its only available on Kindle. The next stage is to make all corrections and get it published as a paperback with Amazon. I've used Kindle Direct Publishing, and because I've registered with them, it is now restricted to the Kindle for the next 90 days. By that time, I hope to have the 2nd book in the series ready. Eventually it will be on the Kobo and other systems, but in the meantime if you can download it to your computer I do hope you enjoy it.

While I'm on, I thought I'd tell you that there have been 111 downloads of the free book this past weekend.  I don't know if that's good or not, but it feels good to me.
Thanks everybody.

You can borrow the book free if you have a Kindle. Its available in the Kindle owners lending library. So if you have a Kindle - please go and borrow the book so I can see if it works.
Thanks

Hi Angela, I just wanted to say how excited I was when I came across your new book on ebay recently- of course I purchased it straight away! I can't wait for the next three books as I have collected small glass animals since I was a little girl. I now have a collection of approximately 500. However it has evolved to other items including vessels and figurines, and I was very lucky to find a pair of Istvan Komaromy's dancing girls five years ago. I also have several Bimini animal figures, Pirelli too, as well as contemporary items from two of my favourite Venetian lampwork artists. I only have one item with a label-Pirelli- a Guinness toucan. Whilst writing you might also be interested to hear that when I was on holiday in Turkey last year I met an elderly Hungarian couple who, whilst talking about a recent trip of mine to Budapest, it transpires met Istvan and actually taught his wife Hungarian! Small world! In fact I made a special trip to the Museum of Applied Arts whilst in Budapest to see Istvan's work, but there was none on display and, when I asked where they were, no-one knew anything about it! Anyway I just wanted to contact you about the book and, if you would like a photo of the Pirelli item please let me know. All the best, Lisa

Hi Lisa, welcome to the board. :)

We'd LOVE to seee any pictures you have!

However, I am a little worried that you have used your email adress as your username - we don't normally recommend folk put their email addresses on the board, unless they're disguised in some way, in order to prevent them getting harvested by spambots (I think I'm getting my terminology right :-[ 0 ).
It's for your own protection.  :)
I'm going to report this post to a moderator, to see if we can't get this fixed for you. But you'll probably have to come up with a username to use instead. I don't think it's  going to be a simple matter of disguising it, as it is your username. You may hear from a moderator asking for an alternative name to use.

Don't worry about it!  :)
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
