possible S&W ice crackle vase.
« on: February 20, 2013, 01:40:11 PM »
Appreciate we've had similar before, so this is by way of showing an attractive piece of glass, and asking at the same time if these are hundred percent S & W pieces  -  having read a previous post I'm not now entirely sure.

Plain coloured ice crackle turns up quite frequently, in various colours including uranium   -   this general shape with the bulbous foot is quite common   - and pieces do sometimes include the word CELERY  -  but this is the first example with coloured speckles that I've seen in any shape -  so can only assume vastly less common than the plain coloured pieces.
The green inclusions on this one do glow - and height is c. 7" - 180mm.

Thanks for looking and all comments received gratefully :).

It's not Abbey though, we've had this discussion before

yes thought I remembered that but couldn't quite recall details -
here's a link to a 'married' decanter that has Abbey glass for the body to show the difference -

thanks m  - I knew it wasn't Abbey, as we'd been down that road before and that is a lot different in the overall effect (although colours similar)  -  and I think Andy also had an example of the ice crackle some time back although I wasn't sure of the attribution.

These flecked examples must be reasonably uncommon, but they're very attractive. :)
