Not sure, but I (might) guess Chinese??  As I had something that had fish like that, but this is just being thrown out there as others will know much more than me.

Still pretty, and if you like it - that is all that matters! :-*

Hi Purpletomcat,

Both the type of fish and the base indicate that it is definitely modern Chinese.
