Certainly not a Chippendale bowl. Most likely a fruit bowl, though you can use it for whatever purpose you wish, of course.

Often found listed on eBay listed as a bowl from Brockwitz, Germany, due largely, I presume, to the 'serpent' handles that are similar to those adorning the Brockwitz 9076a fruit bowl in their 1936 catalogue at
http://www.glas-musterbuch.de/Brockwitz-1936.32+B6YmFja1BJRD0zMiZwcm9kdWN0SUQ9MTEyNCZwaWRfcHJvZHVjdD0zMiZkZXRhaWw9.0.html
although the shape of the body of the 9076a bowl is quite different, and 'your' bowl does not appear to be listed in any of the extant Brockwitz catalogues

I think this bowl has been discussed elsewhere on GMB and will try and post the  link if I can find it.

hello again mashglass.........I notice that you've again added 'a new photo' - although this seems to be simply another repeat.

Apologies if I'm missing something - were you intending that these should be different images??

Please don't mis-understand me, I'm sure you have some good glass that we'd love to see (and we do :))  -  just that I'm a little confused regarding these 'new photos'. :)

hello again Scott.          I had overlooked the fact that flying free had already given some advice regarding better pix etc., so my apologies for doubling up.               Look forward to your posts. :)

As I thought, you will find a similar bowl discussed (basically with the same response as to attribution) at
