Are These Murano or Chinese?
« on: April 23, 2006, 09:37:01 AM »
As most of you know, what I know about paperweights could be written on a pin head with room to spare   so I usually avoid them like the plague, but......

I saw these two yesterday and as they were inexpensive I decided to see if I had improved on my last buys.

The first one is strange as it has a scrambled base and canes on the top with  a flat polished base

The second one is very different, and is marked to the base, but I can't really see what it says, maybe WP 94?

Anyone got any ideas,

Are These Murano or Chinese?

Hi Barbara, the first one is Murano, and the second one isn't easy to identify.

Could you take some more pictures looking directly at the dome please? If you balance the camera on a few books, you should get a clear photo, and even better, if you have a little flower facility on the camera, if you turn it on, it does closeups.

Thanks.
Women and cats will do as they please,
and men and dogs should get used to the  idea.
