First Paperweight Listing hELP nEEDED Please??
« on: June 09, 2022, 03:42:08 PM »
Picked a paperweight today from a small secondhand shop today because it called out and
was within my price range. The decoration seems to be a snowflake on top of a white background
the flake is like sweets very interesting yet minimalist with the base it has a depression like nob with
plenty of wear around this area which looks like it is a decent age and quality possibly mid century would
anybody be able to help out please thanks for taking the time to look nearly forgot size is: 5 tall x 8 wide

Something a bit different for a first weight :D doesn’t seem to have rung any bells yet.

Not too familiar with weights myself but was looking at Mihai Topescu from Romania today and came across a couple of weights that reminded me of yours.

This one uses similar little scrolls: https://m.facebook.com/glasss.art.studio/photos/a.108535107698058/108535491031353/?type=3&source=43&refid=56

And on a larger scale this one: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/art-collection-mihai-topescu-romania-537241372

So possibly Romanian?
