Large vase with engraved eagles ID needed
« on: March 10, 2013, 01:21:52 AM »
9 inches and very heavy. Light blue glass, engraved with two eagles. Could be Scandinavian. Any ideas welcomed.

I agree with David but there were factories that made the blanks and on sold them to smaller engraving firms.  The pale blue glass was also made by Orrefors and probably Kosta at some stage.  I suspect that there would have been a paper label from a smaller maker like ED Glas who were in Kosta but bought in their blanks.

By the way those are not eagles - they rise of the wings is way to great - more like terns or perhaps gannets.
