Finnish/Swedish Internally Striped Bird?
« on: April 23, 2006, 01:47:58 PM »
I posted these pirctures on the Murano board under the apparently mistaken belief that it might be a Dino Martens piece.  Now I've come to wonder, could it be a Swedish or Finnish piece?  Kosta and others did a lot of work with internal stripes. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Charles.

Formia, perhaps? They are specialised in striped birds.

Thanks Ivo.  I'll do some investigation into this.

Thanks Ivo.  You're right on the mark!!!  The Formia website, www.formiaglass.it ("old website"), shows a similar piece, mis-described as "multicolor toucan."

Sincerely,
Charles.
