Mdina paperweight - but how old?

Little paperweight I picked up recently, and marked Mdina on the base in the usual way. But how old is it? I reckon fairly modern. It is frosted all over, except for a champhered and polished front face.

Should have given dimensions: 4-in, 10cm high

Frosting came in around '86, if my memory of the history which used to be on their site is correct.
But... my memory is akin to a colander in a howling gale.  ;)
