What period was this owl made
« on: March 17, 2013, 11:58:53 PM »
Hi,  I,m trying to date this lovely little Nachtmann German lead crystal paperweight.  It is clearly etched Nachtmann to the base area.   I know that the company was founded around 1834 by Michael Nachtmann but then was taken over by a comany using the name F X Nachtmann in 2004.     My question is, was this paperweight made before or after 2004 and would the same markings be applied to the base area? Height 8.7cm.
