I'm trying the book link again as when I linked above it just goes to a set of books totally unrelated to this link bizarrely - you need to scroll to page 47 once you get through to the linked book.
https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=C3_LHs0Ck6gC&pg=PA42&lpg=PA42&dq=maigelein+allemagne&source=bl&ots=EyV_4Si42w&sig=lflGZ2PsEjB8Oxip9vlVfq6b8hI&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CCgQ6AEwAWoVChMIiNn6xcXexwIVD1nbCh0jlgFk#v=onepage&q=maigelein%20allemagne&f=false

and another Met Museum link to one 17th century

Have you looked in the Corning Museum archives online, M?  There are loads of useful old catalogues there. If you enter the search term in the search box and then leave a space and add pdf after it, it brings back downloadable pdf files which have oodles of info! http://www.cmog.org/research

Not all their stuff is scanned or in pdf format, but it's great that there is so much that is. I've been trawling through them searching for trinket sets!

decorated glass barrel referenced as Spanish citing
'Pubblicata in M Gobbi, Venezia e facon de Venise, Venezia 1997 no 21.'

Barrel is a slightly straw/yellowy tinted glass with rigaree vertical bands around it,three in self colour,2 in blue (one at either end), small central spout with blue rim and blue rigaree handles either side of spout. Appears to have a 'knop' at either end, perhaps for hanging?
