Scottish 3D Millefiori Paperweight
« on: April 07, 2013, 02:46:05 PM »
This paperweight was a recent gift from my nearest and dearest. What a lovely thing. I was immediately taken by its generous size (3 and a half inches) and the unusual way the canes rise in a tiered 3-dimensional arrangement at the centre. The glass has a slight amethyst tint.

Am I right thinking this is Ysart Brothers era, possibly by Salvador Ysart?
Are there other examples of use of canes in this manner?

Simon

That's very nice, not seen anything quite like it but looks Ysart bros/Vasart to me.
