Archimede Seguso Gold Murano Bowl Signed and labeled?
« on: April 12, 2013, 09:17:25 PM »
Hi
I bought this beautiful murano bowl from a small gift shop. The bowl is beautiful and very heavy. It is signed very light Seguso Murano and labeled. Does any one know the period that this bowl was made? Is it really Archimede Seguso?

Thank you for any help you can give
Mark

Looks like a well-known Seguso design to me.  It was made from 1950's onwards. This looks like a 60's/70's label.

I agree with David. There is currently an alabastro with yellow centre on offer in ebay.com.au

The original design was by Seguso vda I think and AS started making them when he started his business.

Clean and Crisp a Murano twist.
Archimede tops my list.

A fantastic piece using the exceptionally difficult Bullicante technique where the controlled and precise creation of bubbles is done during the blowing and shaping of the object.
