Topic: 8 sided crystal bowl Id???

This bowl is 8 sided and 4 footed.

7"inches or18cm across and 4"inches or about 10cm tall.

I believe it to be American brilliant cut though this is not my usual cup of tea.

Would like any information possible on this piece.

This indeed American Brilliant Cut glass.  It is not a bowl but what is called a "fern holder".  The pattern is Harvard.  Originally, the piece came with a metal insert to hold the dirt and plant.  This is nice as you do not see this eight sided version a lot.  The maker could be anyone as many companies did this pattern.  I am guessing it is not signed but check very close in the center of the piece for an acid stamped signature.  You have to reflect light off the inside to find signatures.  In reality, it does not matter who made the piece as it is not a rare piece of glass.  My friend was just selling one like this only with the liner.  I don't remember the price.  I will see if I can find it.

Welcome Tony...If you get any other pieces let me know....The piece is from 1912 give or take a few years.
