White Glass Swan - ID = Imperial glass of Ohio, USA
« on: January 24, 2013, 08:33:15 PM »
Hello I was wondering if someone knew anything about the mark on this swan dish.  I tried ti take the best picture I could but the mark is not very clear.  It looks like a G or a C with mirrored teardrop marks on the top and bottom of the letter.  If anyone could tell me anything about this dish that would be great.  Thanks!

Hi and welcome.

Your swan was made by Imperial glass of Ohio, USA in the '50s or '60s.   The mark in your pic is hard to make out but would have been an I overlaid with a G.   Here's a link with some of the various Imperial glass marks througgh the years... http://opensalts.us/References/Books/Book15/Book15.html
