Italian (possibly made by Bormoili), from the 1970s, originally it would have had a stopper with round 'bobbles' - unlike the rectangular bobbles on the bottle. Sometimes described as genie bottles, they came in lots of shapes and colours, intended to be decorative only I believe.

Here is a green one:

These are from Empoli (Firenze), not from Bormioli who are located in Parma (Emilia Romagna) - otherwise the info is correct.

Now you're on the look-out for a stopper - they do look better with than without.  :)

I always thought these were Rossini. I learned something new.

Good to know. I had Firenze on down the Tuscan road. I need to update my Ital-geography. Thanks.

There seems to be a problem with that link, or at least the page it is pointing to, some sort of malware I imagine.

The design shown there with the RossiniEmpoli label can also be found with a moulded made in Portugal mark. Unmarked example in white here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,42214.0.html

your computer seems to dislike java, or you have your popup killer on.
For one thing, Rossini is the name of a glass service made by Bormioli - here confusion starts.
Genii bottles were the produce of Empoli - as the label says. But I've not come across Rossini as a manufacturer in any of the journals or annuals.
Could it be a US importer with several lines? such as Ivima, Empoli AND Bormioli? That would be the height of confusion!
