Loetz?? Beautiful basket! ID = Rindskopf
« on: April 29, 2013, 06:18:41 PM »
I just got this one today, and I am hoping someone can help me out. The shape and texture remind me of Loetz, but I am having trouble finding ANY colorless Loetz baskets in my searching.
Measures 10" tall by just under 7" across.
Thank you, thank you!!

Hey Keith, the shape is right on with yours, did you find yours to be Kralik, or will Craig be helping us both on this one?

I spoke to Alfredo (Loetz and Home website) who said mine was Kralik, something to do with the colour,I'd be more inclined to think yours maybe Loetz but lets see what others have to say, :o :o

Hello Tezlar and Keith....

I would be inclined to identify Rindskopf for the clear basket. If you look at the glass closely there appears to be a kind of ribbed pattern in the glass, even with the lack of colors. This style of pattern can be identified on Rindskopf baskets in the Pepita decor. I would generally associate this style of pontil mark, although not an absolute, with Rindskopf work and not Loetz.

So I would attribute this clear basket to Rindskopf.

Hope this helps, Craig
